I don't know about you but I find learning the card meanings by word associations and stiff descriptions is a bit boring and hard to put together in your head. Here are some meanings and descriptions which might amuse you by describing the cards in meaningful but fun and simple way.

The Major Arcana cards are divided into collections of seven which are called septenaries. This is explained in the 'Fool's Journey' which puts the Major Arcana cards into a story according to their Septenary and might help you to understand the Major Arcana cards a little better.

You can see the Tarot meanings in a 'down to earth way' or you can view the Tarot meanings in a cosmic way. Here we incorporate a little bit of both. Take note that the analogies and keywords in the card descriptions are quite meaningful.

It's a good idea to learn the 'Golden Dawn' Tarot Astrology associations which are the Zodiac signs and planets listed under each card name. You can research each Tarot card much easier by using them.... Why? Because the original Rider-Waite deck was designed by the 'Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn' member, Arthur E Waite, well, with some help from Eliphas Levi and others too.
